Impartiality and Confidentiality Policy

It is one of the main tasks of the lab management to ensure that the lab activities are impartially carried out, well structured and managed to safeguard impartiality. Impartiality and confidentiality.

All the organisation staff is responsible for the impartiality of their lab and activities and must not allow that commercial, financial or any other pressure, compromise impartiality.

For this reason, in the process of staff recruitment, a Declaration of Confidentiality and Impartiality is signed, to be considered as an integral part of the employment contract.

MEQUIPE identified on an ongoing basis the risks to ensure its impartiality, in particular, the risks that derive from: its activities, its relationships, or the relationships of the staff, its ownership, its governance, its management, the shared assets, the finacial aspects, the contracts, the markerting (including all the aspects linked to brand management) the payment of sales commissions or other incentives for the identification of other customers, etc.

The senior management and in the first place the ownership, concretely demonstrates that if a impartiality risk is identified, this must be eliminated or at least minimized as much as possible.

The organization is also responsible for, by means of legally binding commitments, the management of all the information get or generated during the carrying out of lab activities.

By applying the content of the EU Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Counsil of the 27 of April 2016, the organization has informed, in advance, the customer about the information that they want to make publicly available. Except for the information that the customer makes publicly available, or if agreed between the lab and the customer (for examples to respond to complaints), other information are considered proprietary and therefore confidential.

And even when organisation is required by the law, orn when it is contractually able to communicate confidential information, the customer or the interested individuals, are informed about the information provided, unless forbidden by the law.

Moreover, we consider confidential also the customer-related information obtained from sources that differ from the customer himself (for exemple complaints, legislative authorities). Basically we maintain confidential the identity of those who provided this information (the source) without revealing it to che customer, unless otherwise agreed with the source itself.

In conclusion, all the staff, included any members of commitees, contract staff, external bodies staff, or individuals that work for the lab, maintain confidential all the information obtained or generated during the lab activities, unless otherwise legally required.

For the recruited staff, the Declaration of Confidentiality and Impartiality is signed, to be considered as intergal part of the employment contract.
